This two-part workshop provides an introduction to both quantitative and qualitative social science methods.

Part I focuses on quantitative research, providing an overview of research design, the production of quantitative data, and the tools and practices common to a variety of quantitative methods. After the workshop, participants will have the fundamental knowledge of methods necessary for more specialized analytic and programming workshops as well as for beginning the design of their own research projects. Part II will focus on qualitative research methods.

Prior knowledge: No prior knowledge is required for this workshop. Attendees at all levels of knowledge and experience welcomed.
