Position Overview
The D-Lab Front Desk & Data Operations Assistants support both the day-to-day operations of the D-Lab space and the management of workshop and participant data in Salesforce.
This role is ideal for students interested in data systems, operations, and technical problem-solving, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in tools such as Salesforce, Google Workspace, and GitHub. We are looking to hire 3-4 people for this role.

'Responsibilities
Front Desk and Community Support

Staff the D-Lab Front Desk in the Social Sciences Building

Greet students, faculty, and staff and assist them in navigating D-Lab services
-
Check participants in for workshops and support event logistics
-
Triage consulting appointments and monitor ticket status using GitHub
-
Respond to general inquiries in person, via email, and on Slack
-
Support the setup and cleanup of D-Lab events and maintain shared spaces
Data and Salesforce Support

Enter, update, and maintain records in Salesforce related to workshops, participants, and services

Assist with data cleaning, formatting, and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting

Support data imports and updates using spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)

Identify and flag inconsistencies or issues in data systems

Assist with documenting workflows and improving internal processes

Curate zoom video recordings
Administrative and Technical Tasks

Edit and publish workshop recordings via Zoom

Draft and respond to email communications

Assist staff with operational and technical tasks as needed

Qualifications

Must be an enrolled UC Berkeley undergraduate student for the Spring 2026 semester.

Must be able to commit to at least two semesters

Must be available to work 5-10 hours per week.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds to change the water jug

Ability to work on-site at the D-Lab in the Social Sciences Building and across campus.
Preferred Qualifications

Interest in data, technology, or operations

Experience with Google Sheets or Excel (e.g., formulas, sorting, filtering)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to learn new systems, such as Salesforce, quickly

Clear communication and willingness to ask questions

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently

Pay Rate:
This is an hourly, shift-based position. The starting rate is $19.18 per hour.
