Bio/CV:
Sophie Pesek is a PhD student in the Energy and Resources Group (ERG) at UC Berkeley. She is interested in using causal inference and remote sensing techniques to support vulnerable communities in adapting to climate change. Before Berkeley, she was a research analyst at Resources for the Future in Washington, DC, where her work focused on policy for coastal flooding, extreme weather events, and the energy transition. She holds a BA in Environmental Science and Engineering from Harvard University.
