Barrows 356: D-Lab Convening Room

Join David Harding, Professor of Sociology and Faculty Director of D-Lab at UC Berkeley, for a discussion on how to more successfully apply for qualitative research grants from funders with positivist inclinations. Prof. Harding, who has successfully applied for grants totaling over $2,000,000 from private and public funders during his over 12 years in academia, studies poverty and inequality, urban neighborhoods, education, incarceration, and prisoner reentry. He uses both qualitative and quantitative methods, giving him great insight into appealing to funders with a variety of perspectives.
