Bio/CV:
Lucas is a PhD student in Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Berkeley. His research spans development economics, industrial organization, and applied econometrics, with a focus on using large-scale administrative, geospatial, and trajectory data to study technology, markets, and public policy. His work combines causal inference and machine learning, and he also has a strong foundation in neural networks and AI agent development. Prior to Berkeley, he was a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Chicago. He has teaching experience in microeconomics, econometrics, and data science methods.
