Elena is a PhD student in the Agricultural and Resource Economics Department. She studies the intersection of climate change and development, and is particularly interested in discovering mechanisms to improve climate change adaptation and mitigation for globally vulnerable populations as it relates to natural disasters, extreme weather events, and temperature changes. She has teaching experience as a GSI for topics and methods in economics and environmental economics.
