Sharon Green is an epidemiologist and sociologist who studies population health. Her research examines how policies influence health disparities, how migration affects migrant-sending areas, and how social determinants shape mid- and late-life health inequities. Elijah, originally from Newark, New Jersey, now resides in San Francisco, California, dedicated to social and juvenile justice. With a Criminology degree from American University, he began as a research intern at the Investigative Reporting Workshop, focusing on the Digital Divide.

Maddie is a third year Ph.D. Student in Environmental Science, Policy, & Management. Their research brings together disability studies and environmental justice to explore how disabled and chronically ill communities are affected by climate change.
They graduated from Barnard College in 2017, and their experiences navigating ableism while working in the environmental field led them to their current research interest at UC Berkeley. In their free time they enjoy knitting, playing music, and exploring the Bay Area with their dog, Winnie.
Scarlet Bliss is an MS/PhD student in Epidemiology in the School of Public Health. Her work focuses on mixed methods approaches to characterizing and preventing spread of antimicrobial resistance and other enteric pathogens via the environment. She has experience in statistical analysis and public health bioinformatics. She is interested in ethical use of big data as it relates to epidemiologic research.
Ella is a PhD student in the Energy and Resources Group. Her research examines water governance in a changing climate, drawing on geo-spatial techniques. Her past work includes applications of topic modelling in climate change adaptation research, and inductive coding of semi-structured interviews.
Marina is a master's student in the Health and Social Behavior division of the School of Public Health. She has extensive experience in ATLAS.ti and can help you get the most out of the program. Erin Manalo-Pedro is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health with a minor in education. She focuses her racial health equity research on curriculum, the health workforce, and political interventions for communities of color. Drawing from Public Health Critical Race Praxis and Pinayism, she aims to use methods, like natural language processing and counter storytelling, to document the subtleties of structural racism and resistance from marginalized groups.
