Bio/CV: 

Allyson Tang is a fifth year doctoral student in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures with a designated emphasis in the study of religion. Her research project discusses representations of religious life in early modern China. Allyson is passionate about applying natural language processing to analyze historical archives. She is also an advocate for equitable access to data science and the advancement of interdisciplinary data analytics in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
