Mango Jane Angar is a Political Science Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on Political Violence and Disability Politics. In particular, she examines how state institutions, society, and disabled persons organizations conceptualize and define disability.

Ini Umosen

Ini is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. She studies topics in labor economics and the economics of education using applied econometrics methods. Current work in progress includes evaluating the impact of school choice systems and investigating gender and racial bias on gig platforms. She is a former Graduate Research Fellow at the California Policy Lab. She has also been a tutor for econometrics, labor economics, and macroeconomics.

Before that I got a masters in Engineering for International Development and an undergraduate degree in Physics from University College London. I am currently a PhD student at the Haas School of Business, having previously completed my MD-MPH. I focus on the intersection of healthcare and management, driven by a deep interest in understanding the embedded meanings in medical literature. I am also interested in physician-scientists' narratives of clinical artificial intelligence. Additionally, I study the impact of management practices on physicians. My work is guided by my background in healthcare and a commitment to improving organizational practices within the field.

Sharon Green is an epidemiologist and sociologist who studies population health. Her research examines how policies influence health disparities, how migration affects migrant-sending areas, and how social determinants shape mid- and late-life health inequities. Her work has been published in leading journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Social Science and Medicine – Population Health, and American Journal of Public Health. Leïla Njee Bugha

Leïla Njee Bugha is a 5th year PhD candidate in the Agriculture and Resources Economics department. She studied at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay and at Sciences Po Paris in France, before starting a career in the field of program evaluation of public policies. Most recently, she worked as a Research Analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, DC, evaluating childhood nutrition and social protection programs in West Africa.
