Description

Advanced Data Wrangling aims to help students to learn powerful data wrangling tools and techniques in R to wrangle data with less pain and more fun. This workshop will show how R can make your data wrangling process faster, more reliable, and interpretable.

This workshop focuses on introducing essential R packages for data science from tidyverse, especially dplyr to help you solve the most common data manipulation challenges.

  • Part 1: Examine how to reshape and manipulate data

  • Part 2: Explore how to summarise data using the tidyverse data science packages

Prerequisites: D-Lab’s R Fundamentals or equivalent knowledge; previous experience with base R is assumed and basic familiarity with the tidyverse.
